One of the most convenient features of InfoPath 2010, as compared to earlier versions of the software, is the ability for users to save filled out forms as PDF files for easy archiving and retrieval. Click the 'File' option on the menu bar and then the 'Open' link. Browse to the InfoPath form you want to fill out and save as a PDF file. Highlight the file in the browser window and then click the 'Open' button.

Fill out the form by entering required data in the fields.

Click the 'File' option on the menu bar, then click the 'Save a Snapshot' icon.
Enter a descriptive file name for the new PDF file in the 'File name' text field. Select the 'Standard (publishing online and printing)' option if you want to print a high quality copy of the form. If you want to create a smaller PDF file to publish online, select the 'Minimum Size (Publishing Online)' option. After you make your selection, click the 'OK' button.
Tips
- If you enable the 'Open File After Publishing' option in the 'Save A Snapshot' dialog window, the new PDF file will open in your PDF reader application.
- If you have Microsoft InfoPath 2007, or an earlier version, you must download the 'Save As PDF' Office add-on from Microsoft before you can export your forms to the PDF format.
